Short answer: Search the exact product name and model on an official agency site, then compare your lot code, UPC or model number with the notice.

1. Find the identifiers. For food, look for the UPC, lot code and best-by date. For products, look for the model number or date code, often on the back or under a top panel.
2. Search official sources. Use Walmart’s recall page, the FDA for food and drugs, USDA FSIS for meat and poultry, CPSC for household goods, and NHTSA for car seats and tires. Recalls.gov links to all of them.
3. Check Amazon purchases by brand. Search your order history for the brand name, then look it up on CPSC. Many recent recalls say “sold on Amazon.”
4. Match the exact lot. Most recalls cover specific lots, not an entire product line.
5. Ignore recall texts. Walmart says it does not send recall notices by text message, and scammers copy the format.

Which Walmart food recalls matter most right now?

Short answer: The bettergoods pasta and the Marketside soup kit are the most urgent because both involve possible Listeria.

• bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine. Gias Foods recalled two lots of the frozen 22 oz bag, UPC 194346442706, with lot L6079C or L6080C and expiration dates of 09/19/2027 or 09/20/2027. The recall followed routine sampling by the Washington State Department of Agriculture and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. No illnesses have been reported, and buyers should return it for a refund.
• Marketside Tomato Bisque Soup Kit. Kettle Cuisine recalled the 14 oz kit sold in nearly 30 states over possible Listeria contamination.
• Great Value Frozen Organic Triple Berry Blend. One lot was added to an existing recall on September 3 for possible E. coli O145, at select Walmart stores in 16 states.
• bettergoods Pistachio Nut Butter. Botticelli Foods recalled one lot of the 6.7 oz jars, sold exclusively at Walmart, over possible Salmonella.

Store brands such as Great Value, Marketside and bettergoods often appear under the manufacturer’s name, not Walmart’s. Searching only “Walmart” can miss them.

Are there pharmacy and OTC drug recalls too?

Short answer: Yes. Three appear on Walmart’s current list.

• Vitruvias Therapeutics thyroid tablets, USP 30 mg (September 1, 2026): one lot recalled nationwide, at select Walmart pharmacies in 12 states and all Sam’s Club pharmacies.
• Haleon Gas-X Extra Strength Softgels, 125 mg (June 8, 2026): the 120-count and 72-count sizes, sold at Walmart stores and Walmart.com.
• TRUE METRIX blood glucose meters (May 1, 2026): a correction notice for patients and caregivers.

Check the lot number on your package against the FDA notice. If your medication is affected, ask your pharmacist before you stop taking it.

Which product safety recalls carry serious risks?

Short answer: Battery fires, furniture tip-overs, electric shock and child ingestion hazards dominate the list.

Walmart’s own entries include the Mainstays 9-Drawer Fabric Dresser and Cuisinart grill brushes, now at over 3.6 million units after an August 27 expansion. The Char-Broil Bistro Pro electric grills and LANCHEZ pressure washers were recalled for shock hazards. Power bank recalls

About 21,380 NEWDERY power banks, model ZHX-PB22, were recalled after nine reports of exploding or igniting, including a fire that caused $2 million in damage and one burn injury. They were sold only on Amazon from October 2023 through November 2024 for $27 to $50. To get a refund, you must submit a photo of the power bank with the model number, serial number, the word “recalled” and your last name written on it.

Smart glasses recalls

INMO is recalling about 1,600 Air 3 smart glasses in the US because the left temple can overheat, with ten reports of a burning sensation on the face and ears. CPSC lists a risk of serious injury or death from burns and tells owners to stop using them and contact INMO. The fix is a free software update to version V3.16. Dresser recalls

Walmart reannounced its Mainstays 9-Drawer Fabric Dresser recall on August 27, 2026. The reason was that recalled units were later sold to consumers through liquidators. The dressers were sold at Walmart stores and Walmart.com from September 2023 through March 2026 for about $80. The recalled dressers are unstable if not anchored to the wall, which creates tip-over and entrapment hazards for children. Three more clothing storage unit recalls in the first half of September covered more than 16,650 units.

Battery pack recalls

The Blue Cactus Company recalled reclining chair battery packs, model RWX-RBP02, after four reports of overheating, smoking or igniting. About 51,000 packs were sold on Amazon from May 2023 through July 2026 for about $105. Owners should stop using them and contact the company for a replacement. Do not put them in household trash, curbside recycling or store battery drop boxes.

Toy recalls

On September 24, CPSC announced a recall of about 43,674 ABC Trading light-up children’s toys, including glasses, headbands and ties, sold for around $1. These were sold at ABC Trading stores, specialty shops and its website, not Walmart, but they show the risk. Their battery compartments open without a tool, and swallowed button batteries can cause serious harm. Cade California Electronic finger light toys, about 179,739 units, were recalled earlier in September for the same hazard. Walmart’s page lists them as sold on Walmart.com.

Sleeping device recalls

Love To Dream recalled about 4,000 portable sleep machines with night lights, model LTD-SM23, date code 7W15TN, sold for about $60 from February 2025 through September 2026. The battery can overheat if the charger is not compatible with the unit, which creates fire and burn hazards. No incidents or injuries have been reported. Walmart Marketplace is among the sellers. What should you do with a recalled product?

1. Stop using it and keep it away from children.
2. Follow the notice exactly. Some refunds require a photo with the word “recalled” written on the item.
3. Dispose of lithium-ion items through your household hazardous waste center. You can report battery incidents at SaferProducts.gov or call the CPSC hotline at 800-638-2772.
4. Anchor any dresser to the wall, even if it is not recalled.
